Description: The existing podiatry reception located within a local health centre was dated, cramped and poorly laid out and the client brief was to provide a new, ergonomically designed, modern reception whilst retaining the existing footprint. Whilst the brief was simple, the practicalities of the project were made significantly more difficult by the presence of asbestos suspended ceiling tiles, which meant that the ceiling and void above could not be disturbed. Careful planning and construction ensured the client’s brief was met and the finished project was greatly appreciated by the Podiatry staff.
