Description: This project consisted of the redevelopment of an existing healthcare clinic located within a building of local interest, in the centre of Worthing. It included the installation of a mezzanine floor to provide additional space, the internal refurbishment of office and clinical space, installation of new PVC-u windows and renewal of the roof finishes.
The project was complicated by the need for the building to remain in full occupation during the construction period. This meant that staff and patients were able to continue providing and receiving healthcare whilst work continued around them. This was successfully achieved with minimal disruption to the occupants and just a two week shut down whilst the mezzanine floor was installed.
Careful planning and close relationships with the contractor and service providers/client were essential and resulted in a satisfied client and successful outcome.
