Description: This project involved the redesign and refurbishment of the existing public WC’s at a local health centre. Modern materials and construction methods such as Altro Whiterock wall cladding, Armitage Venesta washroom systems and Dyson Airblades were utilized.

The project contained some challenging constraints such as retaining the overall footprint but designing WC’s, which met current regulations and better utilized the limited space.

The practicalities of refurbishing the main public facilities whilst the centre remained fully functioning were also a challenge due to it close proximity to the main reception area. It was essential that staff and patients were able to access all of the centre’s facilities throughout the construction period.
This was successfully achieved by close communication, careful planning and an open-minded approach to the project.
