Description: The podiatry laboratory is an outbuilding to the rear of a local healthcare clinic, and whilst being relatively small in size is home to a sizeable team of technicians providing a range of products and services for local patients. Therefore given the space restrictions, the key was to provide a balance between storage facilities and working space for up to six people. Modern materials such as Altro Whiterock wall cladding were utilized to provide a clean environment and purpose made cupboards & workstations ensured the brief was met. Another problem with the building was rising damp, which had to be tackled prior to any refurbishment work taking place. A specialist contractor was employed to tank the affected areas of the building to ensure its water tightness.
The project was successfully completed with the minimum disruption to the service and the staff are very happy with the outcome.
