Description: Following a prolonged period of water ingress into the existing treatment room at this local health centre, our client’s brief was to provide a modern treatment room facility, which met current healthcare guidelines. The users requested that the existing room be sub-divided into two smaller rooms, which brought with it its own problems. As one larger room, which could accommodate two patients at once, some provisions such as wash hand basins and workstations could be shared thus increasing space. By dividing the room those items had to be provided in both rooms thus reducing the space. Again modern materials such as Altro Whiterock wall cladding and purpose built cupboards & worktops were used to tackle issues such as infection control. Once again whilst limited in space the clients brief and the users expectations were met successfully and the rooms are fully functioning.
